It’s a fantasy world that is set what might remind of feudal times. There are three main continents, which are same distance away from each other, thousands small islands "connecting" the continents, and a large continent/island in the middle of the triangle formed.. There are several different races, some of which are viewed by humans as mythical. The main threat to the humans are ahrids, half-demons created through science by a demon general who defied the sacred laws of Heaven and Hell by coming to the mortal realm. There are also creatures known as ocreadae (sing.- ocreada), masters of the seas. Their arch enemies are deserii (sing.- deserius), children of the sands.
First Continent:
This is continent that is mostly inhabited by humans.There are three countries each divided into seven dukedoms. Before the threat from ahrids, the countries used to wage war on each other, but now they united in one common cause- stopping ahrids from annihilating the human race. Also, it is rumored that in the Forest of ???, which is in the very heart of the continent, lives the last of the mearsors.
Second Continent:
This continent used to be the greatest and the most powerful kingdom in the world. Without any threats for centuries, the people of the kingdom grew careless and foolish. Morior together with his supporters did not have much difficulty in conquering it. Few who survived seeked refuge on the islands and became pirates or, if they were lucky, escaped to the First Continent. Morior established his main base on the continent. Now thousands of ahrids swarm it. The continent itself became "dead", with very few plants or animals found there.
Third Continent:
The smallest continent mostly covered by vast deserts. Tribes of nomads can be seen here and there. Also, according to some legends, the deserii live there.
Small Islands:
Not much to say here. Mostly you can find small fishing villages and pirate bases there.
The "Middle" Island:
Not much known about that place. Rumor has it that the island is the link between the Hell and Heaven which just happens to be in the middle of the human world. Those brave enough to venture there never returned.
Humans:
Humans are humans everywhere. The youngest race wonder the world. They do not have any special powers and no near-immortal life there. But among them are found quite extraordinary humans who have mystical powers, such as healing. Those are humans whose DNA is the closest to that of the mearsors. Such humans also have a much longer life span- approximately they can live to 120-150 years. Some other humans are actually half-breeds of humans and ocreadae or deserii. While the humans with the mearsor powers are considered blessed and heaven-sent, the half-breeds are hated and despised by everyone, mostly because the ahrids are half-breeds as well. For several years now, the humans have been fighting against ahrids and the only thing that saved them so far is that there are nearly as 100 times more humans than ahrids. The only problem is that humans are unable to kill ahrids. They can wound them, chase them away, imprison them, but not kill.
Ahrids:
As mentioned before, these are half-demons created through science by Hell's general Morior, who now is considered an outcast and a traitor (officially only, of course). They basically a bit more powerful than low-ranking demons, but are much more blood thirsty and vicious, especially when they are close to their "home." They follow their creator without a question and their loyalty to him is near fanatical.
Ocreadae (sing.- ocreada, fem., ocreadus, masc.):
Masters of the seas, these creatures are the closest creatures to the mearsors. They dwell in the great ocean. They protect its inhabitants and take care of the waters. Just like the deserii, they are viewed as mythical creatures, rarely seen by people. They possess certain magical abilities, like healing and the control over the elements of water and wind.
Deserii (sing.- deseria, fem., deserius, masc.):
They call themselves the "children of the desert". They are descended from the mearsors who lived in the desert. As any creatures of the desert, they are adept to its high temperature and its countless sand storms. They actually have the ability to control the sand storms. Deserii do not need water to survive and, in fact, they cannot stand it.
Mearsors:
The original or the creator race, the mearsors are actually rebel angels who became tired of the never ending war between Heaven and Hell and came down to the material world. During the first few centuries, they took care of the plants and animals of the young world. Then they slowly started to separate, each group living in a favorite territory. As time passed, their feathers slowly fell out and soon their wings disappeared. Some of their powers disappeared as well. Many started to adjust and evolve according to their habitat. The first to emerge as fully independent race were the ocreadae and son came the deserii. The mearsors who lived on the mainlands took a longer time to change simply because they retained their angelic powers for much longer most likely due to the fact that the mainlands were at that time very similar to Heaven. Eventually, the human race was born.
Sacred Laws:
There are many of them, but the there are only two that one needs to know. First, and the most important, is that no angel or demon can come to the human world unless given the permission of the opposite party i.e. a demon gets a permission from Heaven and vice versa.There could be only a limited amount of either demons or angels on earth at the same time, the "overseers" not included. The second important law was created not long ago. It basically states that the demons have no right to kill the Chosen One and the angels cannot kill Morior.
The Overseers:
A demon and an angel sent to the earth in order to oversee that no demons or angels are in the human world without authorization. They are also sent there to keep an eye on things. The overseers are also required to cooperate. The good thing is that they are untouchable and, sort of, neutral. This is a life-term job, which basically means that one stays an overseer for an eternity. If there is a disturbance in the world, the overseers must first try to solve it together, but if it doesn't help, which happens very rarely, they must report it to their officials, and they report directly to Lucifer or God. And one more important fact. Neither God nor Lucifer can give orders to the individual overseer.
The Chosen One:
He is an angel sent to the human world to protect humans from the ahrids. He is like the opposite for Morior. The only thing is that when he is sent down to the human world, he is stripped of his memory. He is the only one who can kill ahrids naturally, without use of any magic or the likes of such.
Key of Oceans:
It does not have a definite shape because just like water, it changes its shape as it changes its holder. It is rumored that the key has th power to control the oceans and all the waters of earth. Basically, it is very very bad if it gets into the wrong hands. The deserii have been trying to track its whereabouts and, recently, Morior dispatched some of his elite warriors to find the key as well.
The Guardian:
He is the holder of the Key of Oceans, though usually the truth about it is not revealed to him unless the circumstances dictate otherwise. In order to wield the key, the Guardian must not only be a ocreadus, but must also possess the blood of mearsors, which basically makes him one of kind. He is also much more powerful than a ocreadus, a deserius, or even a human with mearsor's blood, and he is definitely more powerful than a human or an ahrid. This is both due to his unique ancestry and the key also gives some power to its bearer. Usually, the Guardian is not aware of such powers.
